Alex Newman, owner and operator of High Tide Boil, has always been drawn to the water. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Alex moved to Fort Myers in 8th grade, where his love for offshore fishing and coastal living truly began. 

Catching the “unofficial world record” black grouper weighing in at a whopping 124 pounds—a story you can still find floating around online.

Before High Tide Boil, Alex was known for hosting crab boils on Cayo Costa beach with close friends—a tradition built around good food, laughter, and community. What started as a fun way to bring people together has grown into Fort Myers’ very first crab boil company, delivering that same unforgettable experience to the whole community.

With High Tide Boil, Alex blends his passion for fresh seafood, his love of the water, and his gift for creating memorable gatherings—one boil at a time.
